Cockburn Rotary Spring Fair

As usual, the Fair will be held on the last Sunday of October at Manning Park, Spearwood.  It starts at 11am, concluding with a fireworks display at 8:15pm (subject to daylight saving).

(Stall holders please go to stall holder information page for application forms.)

The Fair is family and community based with a multicultural theme.  The theme for 2009 is Chinese with a visiting delegation from Cockburn’s sister city Yeu Yang, China.  It is also a celebration of 30 years for the City of Cockburn and 40 years since the Rotary Club of Cockburn was established.

Stages will be set up to provide free entertainment throughout the day by various performing groups and artistes.  Sideshow style rides and games are a major attraction for the younger age groups.  Stalls offer a range of information and products including foods, crafts and jewellery.  Petanque (Mayor’s Cup), British Motor Club and the Frosh Youth Festival are all held in conjunction with the Fair adding interest for fair goers. The radio car rally will again feature along with helicopter rides.

Entry to the Fair is free for the 5,000 plus patrons on the day.  Parking attracts a $2 donation collected by the Girl Guides.

Sponsorship opportunities also exist.  Information can be distributed at the entry point, banners can be placed around the grounds, advertising space is available on the Community News wrap-around and announcements can be placed throughout the day over the PA system.
